BMW – Launching a Line of Hydrogen Powered Cars !
Today i read on Technorati that BMW has outfitted its 7-series cars to be ran on liquid Hydrogen! the new cars will also run on petrol, and will be landing in dealerships mid 2007. It seems that engines which use liquid hydrogen are fully green-compliant, which means no hazardous emissions.
The hydrogen-powered Beemers are also unfortunately sluggish….. 0-60 in just under ten seconds. The cars are heavy because, with the hybrid design, they also house the facilities to run on gasoline, which requires a heavy gas tank.
At least someone is making the first move into a cleaner environment….two thumbs up BMW!
